Like you, I’m pleased that it passed. But this is far from historic legislation. It is filled with ideas supported and proposed by every Republican president since Nixon. That certainly doesn’t make it bad, it’s simply less than historic. It is not a progressive bill. When insurance doesn’t cover all of women’s parts, it cannot be progressive. Hopefully, as you say, it is a step in the right direction.
