Interesting because one of thenm artifacts of how. I grew up is that I’m rarely intimidated (rightly or wrongly). Because of the people I know I get to meet all kinds of celebrities when I venture out of my community but to me they are just people like you and me. You would be amazed at how normal many of them are if you met them and just treated them like everyday people.
The world I speak of is out there and bigger than you think whether you are a part of it or not. In the mid 90’s it was essentially limited to Carmel Valley but now it has spread out as more people in this category have moved here and have found wonderful housing options in good school districts elsewhere. Places can change over time and I have seen it firsthand. Claiming the weather is the same and the beaches are the same is a fallback and a cop out. When my parents moved to the community I grew up in around 1964 it was apple orchards and cow pastures. There were no professionals there. Now it is completely built out and full of upper middle class families with a median HH income above 100K. It looks nothing like it did 40 some odd years ago. In another 20 years this place will look nothing like it did in the 70’s and 80’s. Change is a foot. Be a part of it or be left behind.
