In the past, families were the social safety net. I think we’re going to return to that model in the future. You’re right that we won’t be able to live long lives away from our family members. Parents better start training up their children in the traditional ways. Personally, I think it’s a good thing. Never did like the way Americans treat the elderly.
Multiple generations living together and supporting one another is deflationary, too.
