I’m from Philly and comparatively we dont have real ghettos here for sure. I also feel that I came to live here to be close to the beach. NOt necessarily on the beach (though that would be nice too) but within a mile or two of it. For me if I was going to live in Poway it might as well be Phoenix so I understand your friends. That and planting palm trees all over my property that have since become huge and an expensive item to upkeep. Live and learn….
