I will look at this market segment in a year or so. I own a volvo and wont be buying another. My time with volvo has been good but the dealership experience is enough to pass on them.
I like infiniti’s in general so the M is on the list. My dad by one of the first G20s, handed it over to my brother and got a Q45, sold the Q45 for a new G for my mom. I love everything about the M except the gas mileage but thats ok. I wasnt aware of the reliability issues mentioned above but will definately research and consider. I want an M35X if possible and love the new styling.
2nd choice would be a GS. Third choice would be Hyundai Genesis although having seen one today where someone removed the front grill for some Bentley looking grill, I didn’t like the look of it. I also dont like the fact that people re badge them with emblems. Its as though you are hiding the car from people. The package offered though is nice. Nice car and nice features.
Acuras are nice but not big on the new TL styling. My wife had a 2006 TL for a while. The downshift of second gear when slowing down (common issue) was brutal and the car rode a bit rough for my taste.
True driving machines would be bmw, mb, audi but unless its a lease I want no part of it.
If I could go past the 40K mark, I would be in line for a Tesla Model S.
