I was in Temecula on Sunday scoping out Redhawk and the surrounding neighborhoods. To the west of Pechanga Pkwy was an older neighborhood exactly as described – riced out imports, rusty muscle cars, monster trucks, fat bald guys with goatees and tattoos hanging out on their driveways next to their sand rails. Redneck heaven. I was appalled. I thought, if I move to redhawk, it’s going to be as far from that place as possible. And I’m a major car enthusiast.
The weird thing is, there was an old 4-bedroom house for rent in Redneck Heaven for $1850/month. I wonder if they’re actually getting those prices. If so, the newer 4-bedroom homes in redhawk, which I suspect will be going for $200k-$230k next winter (not much more than that now), could be great rental investments.
I loved the Redhawk neighborhoods. Anyone know what the mello roos range around there? The schools look like they cost a LOT of money.
