I think you’re right. Oceanside has a bad image that has lingered fromyears ago when the area was seedier and more crime ridden. People are very conscious of the reputation of a place even if it’s undeserved. No one wants to be the first to move to an area that’s known as a ghetto even if it is no longer the case. I recently checked a crime statistics chart and all of the areas closest to the beach (where we’re thinking of buying) are pretty much equal in terms of crime. In fact, Del Mar is the worst.
