I just checked my fire policy and it is $985 yr ($2,000 ded) for $331K coverage (just under 2200 sf) and $33K coverage for landscaping, fencing and gazebo. It also includes varying coverage for loss of use and liability. It is a “replacement value” policy. I think it is fine for the ‘hood. If it burns down, I could build something smaller if I had to.
I do not live in a fire-prone area.
Earthquake Authority coverage is $185 yr for a $50K ded policy (same policy limits as above).
I do not live on or near a fault line.
