I haven’t heard any news analysis that has put their finger on it. I think it’s not so much that Obama isn’t reaching these groups, but more that Clinton has deliberately targeted them, at least the Hispanics. Asians who vote Democrat may be more conservative in their outlook, and Clinton appeals to those core democratic values. The racial/gender card is also an obvious factor in this.
