I have made offers on short sales before. Two were accepted. The only thing is you definitely have to have patience and wait. As sdr said, unless you are 100% sure you want and love that house, you will stick w/it. Many times, if you keep looking, you end up finding something else you like better. This happened to me and I see it happen out there. Just b/c it’s contingent doesn’t mean it’s sold, either. I have seen them come back on the market again. Sometimnes they don’t appraise or problem w/the loan or who knows.
