I had a lease that I had to break once. I spoke w/the landlord, explained my situation. I asked if I found someone to take over my lease, would he release me from my lease obligations. It was not a problem. I am NOT offering legal advise. I’d talk to the landlord and see if he’ll allow you to find someone suitable to take over the lease.
Worth a try. Generally, they’d work w/you. At least that’s been my experience. If you volunteer to find a suitable candidate w/good credit, etc. to take over and save them the hassle and trouble, w/their approval, of course, it makes things easier.
