I grew up on Oahu between ’77 and ’91, and as far as I could remember, home prices were always high. I moved away because only doctors, lawyers or retired military owned homes in Honolulu. Unless I wanted a 30 year schlep-job in service, construction, or government, my island home had no future for me.
