I don’t consider myself an old-timer of San Diego. However, I’ve been here a while and since we are reminiscing, can I add a couple of bars to the list?
You remember when In Cahoots used to be Confetti’s (as an added bonus, you remember Sunday nights was Piranha room)
You remember when Rich’s used to be The Metro (as an added bonus, you remember one night a week it was Shards of Glass)
I had to look up what it is today. They’ve changed so many times, but you remember Johnny V used to be Emerald City and before that Mannikin’s.
You remember The Tavern used to be the Daily Planet.
You remember there was a Red Onion in Mission Beach.
I’m sure there’s way more on that list. The way people drink, I’m surprised at the changes. How can you fail if you’re a bar? Maybe they were drinking the profits.
