I bought a KitchenAid side by side. I really like it. Not sure if you saw the Appliances thread but Consumer Reports gave it a pretty good rating, if that means anything to you. I saw the french door Samsung and they sure do look nice, though and was tempted.

Samsung RF217AB[WP] and Samsung RB215AB and Samsung RF197AC[WP] rated 67. LG LMX28987[ST] rated 29.
