I believe a lot of the reasons for LT’s numbers dropping is due to the fact that we don’t have a work horse like Lorenzo Neal blocking in front for LT. Unfortunately Tolbert and Hester won’t replace a beast like Neal.
LT is getting older and his numbers have diminished, but we have to take into consideration that the offense has also changed a bit having wide receivers like Chambers and Jackson, along with Gates at Tight End. We’ve come a long way from the days of our top receivers being Eric Parker, Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell. We have probably have one of the best, if not the best, offenses in league when healthy. Having a fullback that can block for Sproles and LT would be icing on the cake for the Chargers, but they are definitely doing well without one!
Last night was, by far, the loudest and most intense Charger game I have ever attended. Manning wasn’t able to hear a thing and the crowd was into every play. A Charger win in Pittsburgh and a Baltimore win at Tennessee means an AFC Championship game at the Q!!!! I am looking forward to that game! 2009 SuperBolt Champions!
