I am not a risk-taker as it pertains to food. So the fact that my wife has at least gotten me out of meat-potatoes to try some places is a mini-miracle. There is a little Thai place where we eat regularly down in Solana Beach on the 101 called Bangkok Bay. I am not a connoisseur of Thai food and basically I get the same thing on each visit. I really enjoy it, I get order the stuff 8 of 10 on a hot scale. It’s called Kow Soi Noodles in a spicy curry broth (with beef) a northern Thai specialty. Whatever it is I like it, and always order a couple of Singha’s to cool the palette.
PF Changs (only attend on company business) or any Chinese-American restaurant I generally order some version of spicy (General Tso’s) chicken. I’m not much a veggie guy, and I hate wasting money on something I might not like. I can’t imagine this spicy chicken is very authentic, but I am not an expert on these things.
