I agree with sdrealtor on this. Not everyone but still a very large group wants to live in NCC.
One of several stereotypical consumer groups fueling this demand in NCC (that I regularly have to compete with as a buyer) is … Young asian First/Second Generation Immigrants, Dual-Income Professional families. They are typical consumers for newer built track houses … bigger the better … in planned neighbourhoods with good school districts. Mostly dont care much about the “character” angle in a house. I know atleast couple in my circle who want to buy in South Carlsbad (92011/92009) and are ready to bring in top-dollar for the in-demand properties.
Agree with sdrealtor about the Palomar Airport and Restaurant/Markets. Never really felt that South Carlsbad is “far-away” from anywhere.
At times, I do feel like that Carlsbad is missing on bigger white-collar “industries” … even though it is very well positioned and definitly has potential.
