How long are you planning on staying in the condo? If it’s several years and you’re truly not going to use the dishwasher EVER, I’d just install the hook-ups (aren’t they already there?). When/if you put it on the market, buy a decent dishwasher.
If you are going to use the dishwasher sometimes (even people I know who don’t use theirs typically use it sometimes like after a party) then just put in a decent dishwasher and use it for storage most of the time. My grandmother used to use hers as a pantry. Also, I’ve thought it would be smart if you hand wash your dishes to use the dishwasher as a drying rack….very tidy and out of the way!
