I’m reminded of the downturn starting in ’89, and lasting almost seven years. I was in the insurance/surety biz back then, and remember seeing dozens of boom to bust tales in the construction industry. Same attitude among contractors back then, too: “The market will come back in a year or two”. It took nearly seven years.
This one will undoubtedly be worse.
Just out of curiosity, what is your take on the Fallbrook market? I hear two different sets of stories. One is from the older residents, who are positioned to ride out the storm, and the other is from the newer arrivals, and that one is decidely worse. How do you think our market will fare locally (including Bonsall in there, too)?
