Didn’t mean to be obtuse but yeah it never hurts to overemphasize that you don’t know what you don’t know.
What is irritating though is that frequently there can be detachment between seller who is the lender and the asset manager who may work for a liquidation company and the broker who lists the home. So perhaps that broker enlists a company to trash the home out and maybe a handyman to rehab it. Perhaps the asset manager knows that but the lender may not know that for awhile. The lag time for the lender finding out may be a few weeks or it may be instantaneous.
