Some websites need cookies to function.. this allows these to function, then when you close Firefox.. the cookies disappear. Also helps with reducing being ‘tracked’ by websites. To really do it right though, you need to blow/wipe the browser cache when exiting too. (unfortunately not an option on Firefox)
