To anyone taking offense to song quotes? Buzz off. If you cannot recognize the irony in the line, that it pointed to the highly dubious nature of said conspiracies in relation to the RE market, then my suggestion is you re-enroll into middle school and work on your reading comprehension.
SD Realtor is one of the soberest and informative voices on this blog. It is my interpretation that he does not speak in a biased way FOR realtors, but has been in the profession for quite some time, knows it well, is a a true professional ,is NOT by any stretch a RE apologist and/or scheister, and mixes his points of view quite well with a fairly broad humanist perspective.
If we attribute this all to natural causes, our naivete, faux or otherwise, is woeful and we’d be well-served to open our collective eyes. Arson IS part of this.
Comparisons to hurricanes and tornadoes are argumentatively extremely weak, one cannot spit into a hurricane ripe environ and cause a deluge, or turn on a ceiling fan and inspire a tornado. Whereas a match and/or a carelessly disposed of cigarette butt HAS and CAN and WILL cause these fires.
This area is a desert, the overwhelming majority of GREEN is by artificial watering. Fuel accumulates over dry years and is a hazard. Choosing where you live is a big decision. many of these outlying areas are only habitable in the modern way due to modern technology. It is not a very hospitable environment. No one DESERVES calamity to strike them in particular. One can reduce ones chances of having ones house slide down a muddy hillside by not buying a house on a hillside. OR avoid a fire by not buying a house in a region that is by nature a desert and prone to such fires.
May you and all your loved ones be healthy and safe.
