[quote=gandalf]John, I have to tell you, I’ve got a totally mixed take on you. On the one hand, you’re a vocal Republican, out on in front leading the partisan charge. But you’re a Jets fan, so you can’t be that bad. Now this, with the ETs. I’m going out on a limb here, but I agree with you about the statistical probability of extra-terrestrial life. You’re right.
My take, the universe is too big and too old. Cellular Automata explains many natural phenomena here on Earth convincingly. Evolutionary processes, physical and biological systems, structures, patterns and behaviors are replicated throughout the natural world. In all likelihood, the same elements and forces that led to life here on Earth have been at work elsewhere in the Universe for billions of years.
So here’s my question: doesn’t this kind of perspective on the Universe make the whole human politics thing rather insignificant? How come you’re so vocal with the Republican advocacy thing? That puzzles me. You should be at Comic-Con or something, not trolling the Piggs board with Bush bombs. What gives?

I agree about how insignificant our politics are compared to ET’s running the Planet.
I hate bullies and so many people pile on Bush it just pisses me off so I tend to take up for him because I know that Bush has guts and determination and leadership and that is what you expect to have in a President. That’s all we can ask of the man.
As to why a person who believes in ET’s would care about politics well I care about how things are ran and I care about the world to come and I believe that we should do what we can to make it better for the next generation.
I sincerely believe that McCain would be the best man for the job. I ain’t saying he is going to be a great president but Obama is not even a real choice. You want him talking to Captain Zoomar from Sirius Prime??
