“FYI, these programs are designed to get people into houses in areas where prices are inflated, artifically or otherwise. Relatively speaking, a person in an area where home prices are moderate (more normally priced) will not have available the moneys/programs that are offered in a state where the cost of living my be higher. So let’s see if I have this straight or not. You want to subsidize 50% of the purchase price with my tax dollars, meanwhile, I have to save hard money to be able to put 20% on a house that is likely no more than 50% more expensive than the subsidized one?
