FYI: “Emotional pleas” and “NIMBYism” and “political reactionaries” typically don’t stand up to judicial review. And even if the reviewing court will not issue the writ, Granite will still have the right after an unsuccessful writ petition to file a claim against the county and sue for all their damages.
I just hope those “universities” and Penchanga tribe have deep pockets and a fleet of attorneys on standby because those “emotional citizens” who “banded together” probably don’t have either one.
