For anyone that believes the government isn’t spooked about Wikileaks, consider this: a few months ago we got a DOD wide message that if we logged onto Wikileaks with one of our computers we could be subjected to criminal penalty. This was even extended to our personal computers at home if the government found out about it.
Want to know how serious they really are? When I tried to read this thread during my lunch break today I received a message that my “attempt to access Wikileaks has been recorded”. I’m expecting an email tomorrow morning asking me to explain my behavior.
I have to be honest, this site and it’s reach scares me a bit, especially since I’m going to be spending the majority of next year in Afghanistan and I’ll be plenty pissed if my life is endangered by a scumbag like this.
