well i certainly don’t have to buy in CV. but we may end up doing that if it makes good sense. i need a contractor to walk through and do an estimate for the things we would like done. i wonder how much they would charge for that.
but i don’t throw lowballs, i.e. anything greater than 9% off list. i prefer the seller to make the first move to show some sort of understanding of the market conditions. and some will hold out or delist. that’s fine. but there’s always a seller who needs to go and they get motivated real fast if no other offers come through or if a buyer is ready to go with no contingencies.
there has been a runup in sales this year which may be due to interest rate mania, so i’m curious to see how things look after the “big event” next week and beyond.
