None of the other students can find out anymore. The problem has been fixed with electronic ID cards for the students with their picture on them. They are loaded with meals from the parents’ check or the Free Lunch program by the school’s front office. Every student stands in the same line and nobody in the cafeteria knows anything about who is eating a free (or 40-cent) lunch and who is paying full price (not even the cafeteria workers).
