Fine line between telling someone what to do and just suggesting. If he’s happy eating ice cream, I’m not going to control him. But if I can get him to eat an apple sometimes, then it’s something. He’s not a kid. He knows he’s indulging. At least he goes for a run once a week and gets some exercise.
