Over a longer period of time, everyone is expensible.. Over a shorter period of time, individuals with the knowledge are more indispensable. Time buys companies/people alternatives. If something needs to be done now, you need people who were with the knowledge base to do it, and you’ll have to pay a premium to get it done.

So, you’re saying we need to pay a premium to these “geniuses” who screwed our country over…because they are the only ones who can supposedly undo the damage THEY have created?
Is that what you call “earning money” or “hard work”?
IMHO, it’s a sad day when the financial industry is considered the most important industry in our country.
I’d much rather see doctors, engineers, and other **productive** people earn the top salaries/incomes. Allocating financial resources is not that complicated. It’s only when we try to get “creative” with money that it becomes too complex for normal, intelligent people to handle these transactions. We cannot afford to have these people in control of our economy.
As to the whiner from AIG…many people work 12-14 hour days, often six or seven days a week. Many of them make minimum wage, and are trying to support their families on these wages. This AIG employee is hardly a sympathetic character.
