Wow, flu. Bullet-proof glass? What happened that made you think that’s necessary?
I grew up in L.A., and while it’s not “Nirvana,” it’s not that bad in most places, is it? It’s been a while since I lived there, but it hasn’t gotten *that* bad, has it?
I grew up in parts of L.A. and anything that wasn’t on the “Hill” was considered ghetto. But in all seriousness we had Compton/Lynnwood and parts of areas right outside of USC that I don’t think you would want you to be traveling at night in the wee hours… And L.A. does see to have the most random freeway drivebys, doesn’t it?
Oh, yes. I had to drive my sister to County USC (hospital) one night. It’s pretty eye-opening. Another time, my blonde friend and I were driving in the middle of the day. Pulled up to a stop sign, and the moment she stopped, I looked in the side-view mirror and saw a bunch of people approaching the car. I told her to step on it, and we didn’t stop at a red light or stop sign until we were well out of that part of L.A.
Okay, if you’re frequenting those areas, I can definitely see getting bullet-proof glass. We were from the SFV, and while it does have its seedy parts, the areas where we grew up were relatively safe.
