AN, the reason why the Z4 got soft and heavy is probably not enough people liked the stiffer Z4 of the previous gen. Hence, I’m guessing they are tuning this slightly softer, reserving the M coupe for future date. Normally, I’d pick the TT-S, but this is looking dated. (Where is the supposedly R4? I guess they killed that project too).
sdr, You do realize that the Z4 will most likely run you over $60k for the xdrive 35i after the options that mostly will be preselected( $52.5k + $2k for sports package + $2.5 for premium + $1.5k if you want dual clutch )… There’s a lot of things you could drive in that range.

flu, I know why the z4 got soft and heavy. I just don’t like their direction. I would pick the older z4m if you want more performance vs luxury. The new Z4, although it’s small, it weighs around 3500lb. Pretty porky in my eye.
I think you’ll get more luxury w/ the Audi, but I always feel like you get a lot less performance w/ Audi vs other comparable marquee for the same price. Minus maybe the Benz.
