I think that UTC will always command a premium for UCSD students over MM though. Especially in east MM near the 15. You’re talking about 5 mins to campus vs. 20 without traffic. Also, a lot of UCSD students are pretty affluent and especially if you’re renting a 2-3br apartment with roommates the difference in rent will probably be like $50-100 more per person at the most. For that price I think most would choose UTC over MM easily.
