“Doom” is a relative term, of course. I’d define a 50% drop in population as a result of energy/pollution issues “doom,” but that’s just me. But, again, that’s still way off into the future, if at all. I fundamentally believe that technology will stave off the True Doomster predictions, particularly in my lifetime, but there’s no guarantee. And the further out you go the wider the variance in potential outcomes.
