We would have loved to wait until interest rates skyrocket, and I still think that’s the best approach for any current buyers. However, we found a house that meets most of our needs/wants at a price that’s fairly reasonable (though still far too high), and other factors in our lives right now have forced us over the edge. We intend for this to be our final house, so will do our best to stop looking at housing-related stuff (and prices!), and just get back to enjoying life after far too many years fretting and obsessing over this stuff.
We all have to have a party to mourn the loss of our renter status. 😉
