This way it knows that the cat is working… It should read 0% oxygen. To use a 3 way cat, you have to have the mixture set very close to stichiometric for all 3 catalysts to work. Nitrous oxides require stichio to rich mixtures, hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide need stichio towards lean. The intersection of the two is where the 3 way cats work.
