Coronado, like any urban area, definitely has a rat problem. It seems to get worse whenever there is construction in the area–so when you bulldoze a building or have trees removed, you are sending them out to plague your neighbors. Guess that is just how it is.
So, block the holes, have pest control come out with traps and trim trees so that they don’t come near buildings (rat superhighways). These all seemed to help with our problem. They are definitely nasty–they have had their way with our storage area and left us nice presents on anything they chewed their way into. Ick.
