But like I say, the high number is a result of our ambition to help families have children who might otherwise be unable to. Also people will spend a lot of money to try and save what most systems would consider lost causes. So the statistic isnt exactly an apples to apples comparison. If other nations used as much IVF and spent as much money trying to save premature babies (that have no chance) then their numbers would be higher too.
