…hence the diamond “1%” patch and/or tattoo. It’s literally a badge of honor for them, one which says “yeah, I’m a career criminal. Do something about it.”
If I had to go up against guys like that, who also tend to congregate in large groups, I’d be armed to the teeth, too.
