Coastal is well within your means and renting is a possibility also. I have a good friend who moved here last Summer from Riverdale to escape the rat race, weather etc. It took him two years to get his co-op sold and make the transition. He couldnt be happier. He’s a real good guy, smart and friendly. I’m sure he would be happy to share his experiences with you. He is an extremely detailed oriented guy and did extensive research on his move as he does for everything. His sister in law lives in Del Mar. He ended up in my hood (south carlsbad/encinitas-he works from home but he checked everywhere) as a renter and even though he can afford to buy whatever he wants will likely stay one for many years.
