Busy last couple of days. Wanted to respond to some of rus’ comments as well as add some words that put some of the casca discussions, if you can call them that, in context.
First, people who make a habit of violating social norms get beat on in every context, everywhere, in the history of the world. It’s human behavior. Animal behavior. That’s how the world works. I took some ribbing for suggesting we democratically moderate threads. That’s not censorship, BTW.
Second, the Internet isn’t anonymous. You connect from somewhere and leave footprints everywhere you go. Those who know, know better.
With casca, I believe he’s a bullet-catcher from here on the Island. Small world, small town in fact. In terms of his profile, there is little to suggest any proclivity to engage in civil discussion on matters of politics. He is Marine Corps, tip of the spear. They serve a function, and serve it well. Battle on. (Or change the subject.)
