Buffet might have the means to bolster the builder’s stock long enough to clear a profit by squeezing the shorts. However, I think he’s smart enough to know that there is no profitable way to hold this many units and the remainder of these subdivisions for the 5 years or more that it may take for prices to recover.
I agree with patientlywaiting – Lennar can’t be so dumb as to be serious about this. They’re bluffing.
