Bought my wife a Cannon EOS40D for Christmas. She is a semi-pro photog and I am an amateur. I bought myself a Canon 870IS. I LOVE my camera. My wife liked it so much she had me get her one. I keep mine in my pocket and love the fact that I can use it anywhere I go and its so convenient.
I am amazed at its capabilities. I sound like a commercial but its rare that I buy something that exceeds all of my expectations.
