Between my wife and I, we’ve lived in 20 or so different places in the last 25 years, many of them close to major roads. Our place in Temecula backs to a park, so day and night we hear nothing but birds and crickets. It’s awesome, and now that we’ve lived with noise and without, we wouldn’t even consider a house by a freeway.
You may be far happier with several hundred fewer square feet in a quiet area.
