as the creator of the “4Closure Ranch” namesake, I actually agree with this fire-prevention technology. I think it does make a difference in regard to planting fire resistant plants, master plan locations of homes, and the sprinkler system.
instead of just in select communities, this type of practices need to be more common place.
to the country in general, vast majority of anyone thinking about a relocation to SD in all likelihood just had a change of heart. this along with the continuing population loss due to high RE prices, will excelerate the negative migration pattern. this will bring the prices down for the entire county in general.
but, comparing within SD itself, these fire-resistant communities like 4S, costal communities, and city proper will be able to slow and moderate the price decline a bit better than the rest of the county.
