As I mentioned on another thread, similar experience w/my cousin who worked 30 years at a factory, now on unemployment. He has no interest in getting trained for a new job.
When he first was out of work, I felt bad. That’s all he did since he got out of high school. Now, I have no sympathy.
Can’t tell people how to live, but I’m dumbfounded that people don’t bother to better their lives and contribute to society rather than be a parasite. I guess maybe they like their life as is.
Personally, I would have a little sense of pride and would want to obtain a job, not be on unemployment forever.
