Anyone know the cost of replacing a windshield with a GPS receiver ? My wife’s car has a windshield chip.
Windshields don’t have GPS chips last time I checked. They may have the wire for the receiver.. but not the chip itself. What is the make and model of the vehicle? What option is the one that triggered the ‘GPS’..??
1) if you buy a cheap glass (especially the ones from china), it’s very likely a small pebble flying on the freeway will very well end up putting a crack in your new windshield, much easier than your OEM glass.
Sometimes the OEM is thinner than aftermarket. It is a weight reduction thing which started around the 1980s. If you compare a windshield from a 1985 or later vehicle to one from the 1960s or 1970s, you’ll notice a significant difference in thickness.
