Nice compromise. Our seller paid for a one year warranty. Came in real handy. In our first few months as the new owners, our hot water heater went out, our stove quit working, and the heater blower broke. The warranty covered everything minus a small deductible.
Be prepared for a very strong sales pitch from the insurace company to renew the insurance. We got at least one call everyday for months. We did not renew.
