I personally put commute time highest on my priority list. I draw the line at 20 minutes door to door. Rather have older & smaller and shorter commute than bigger/newer but have to to deal w/ longer & less flexible commute.[/quote]
I’m with AN on this. Having lived in So Cal all my life, I’ve seen how commutes can change from “bearable” to totally unbearable within a few years. If there is more development between San Diego and Carlsbad (very likely), your commute could easily change for the worse. When you’re dependent on freeways to get to work, it can get ugly over time.
