Allan, you have me convinced, however, to play a little devil’s advocate here…
Using your analogies, there are restrictions placed on both the speed limit of the Enzo, and things such as seat belt laws required when operating the Enzo. Do you agree with these restrictions, and would you thus agree with similar restrictions placed on firearms?
In regards to drunk drivers, there are restrictions placed on the sale of alcohol (to minors), and you are required to present photo identification to purchase said alcohol. In some states you can’t purchase alcohol after certain hours. Do you agree with these restrictions and regulations, and thus do you agree with equivalent regulations places on the purchase and usage of firearms?
So while Enzos and alcohol aren’t banned, there are certainly restrictions and laws placed on the sale and usage of both. Why wouldn’t firearms be subjected to similar regulations?
